Through our ongoing partnership, players from Fastbreak Basketball and clubs across the region have benefited from elite coaching in an inclusive, challenging and enjoyable environment. We look forward to continuing to provide opportunities that help young players develop their skills while raising the standard of basketball across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding region.
The July 2026 Elite Player Development Weekend with internationally recognised skills coach Coach G (Gennaro Augenti)was a fantastic success.
Across the two days, players from Fastbreak Basketball, Cambridge Cats, Mildenhall Jets, Peterborough Vytis and Peterborough City came together to train in a positive, competitive and supportive environment focused on long-term player development.
The sessions challenged players to improve their ball handling, decision-making, finishing and game understanding using modern, game-realistic training methods.
We would like to thank Coach G, all participating players, parents and visiting clubs for making the weekend such an enjoyable experience.
Players from five different clubs trained together over the weekend, demonstrating the shared commitment across the region to developing young basketball players.

“Our son really enjoyed the Elite Player Development Camp. He came home talking about the session and was keen to practise what he’d learned.He really enjoyed Coach G’s coaching style and felt he picked up lots of useful tips and new skills.
Communication from FastBreak before the camp was clear and helpful, and the venue worked really well. Everything ran smoothly, which made the day easy for us as parents.
Our son has also attended a two-week basketball camp in the US, where the schedule was much more intensive and packed with activities. Although the format was different, he felt the quality of coaching at the Elite Player Development Camp was just as high. It’s great to have opportunities like this available locally, and we’d definitely book another event organised by FastBreak.”

Our son attended two clinics with Coach G. The first was a high impact session where he experienced new and different techniques. The second consisted of three sessions that were more personalised and each targeted a specific skill. Our son thought both days were good and has now signed up to a third one.
An added bonus was that they ran during the summer school holidays.
Signing up to the sessions was easy. The venue in Northstowe was good, plenty of parking and an area for parents to sit and wait, if they so wish. Or they can go for a walk around the nearby lakes”

Alongside player development, Coach G also offers a Coach Pass experience, giving coaches the opportunity to observe the sessions, ask questions and gain insights into his coaching methodology.
“Attending the FastBreak camp with a coach's pass, I had the chance to watch Coach G work up close — and as a coach myself, I was thoroughly impressed. His skill development is world class: the drills were inventive, purposefully sequenced, and delivered measurable progress in the players' core technique within a single session. Just as striking was his pedagogy — an outstanding communicator who connects with children warmly, motivates them, and visibly grows their confidence both on the court and in how they communicate with teammates. My son Liam, who also attended, came away a stronger, more self-assured player, genuinely excited about the game. The Northstowe facilities were excellent and the whole camp ran seamlessly.
