There will be a joining fee which will allow us to provide t-shirts for everyone who signs up.

There will be various methods of payment such as the monthly payment scheme or the pay as you attend option.

We would offer two types of junior membership:

1) Training only

2) Training plus matches

Junior training only membership:

For those who are interested in basketball but do not necessarily want to participate in competitive matches. This could be perhaps due to:

  • Your child is already playing for another club
  • You can not commit to regular weekend matches because of other commitments
  • Your goal from basketball sessions is to become fit and healthy rather than to play competitively
  • Your child is not yet ready to compete

Junior training plus matches membership:

For those who are interested in competitive matches, this membership guarentees selection to participate in matches.

We are planning to have regular games/tournaments starting from September 2021

Senior membership:

We have worked closely with local volunteers to run senior sessions.

More details to be published in due course.

Current Basketball sessions:

Junior Basketball Sessions

Basketball is a very technical sport and it is critical to learn the basics before the coaches can develop the tactical side of the game. For those interested in competing in tournaments, it is an indoor sport for several reasons including safety. Our current plan is to prepare two teams (U11/U12 and U14) for September to enter into a local junior competition. The Basketball season starts from September and continues until late March. We are running indoor sessions from 22nd April in Northstowe Secondary College Sport Hall to identify players who would be committed to play in competitions  from September. In the Spring term, our goals will be having fun as well as working on individual basic skills such as dribbling, footwork, passing, shooting and defence. We will also have a lot of '1 on 1' drills. Some basic team tactics will be taught to the older age groups too. Once the teams are ready, we will also have a couple of friendly matches in July.

During Spring term 2021, we are running both indoor (Thursdays) and outdoor (Wednesday) sessions. Please see the bottom of this page for available courses.

Latest updates:

  • We accept pay as you attend option (outdoor sessions only)
  • Wednesday spaces are available (Outdoor)
  • You can signup for the new indoor sessions which will start soon on Fridays - 7:15 to 8:15pm

Senior Basketball Sessions

We currently have three organised and coached adult sessions on Mondays, Wednedays and Thursdays from 22nd April. Monday sessions are for women only and are intended to cater for beginners and intermediate level. If you are an advanced player, please do not be shy to come along to support your fellow female players in their journey to experience a new and different sport. Wednesdays and Thursdays sessions will be mixed and again they are intended for adult beginners to intermediate level. In both sessions, we are going to have a few minutes of general fitness drills to improve your strength before going on to basic technical footwork, shooting, ball handling and basic team tactics. We finish the sessions with a few minutes of match play.

Latest updates:

  • We accept pay as you attend option (outdoor sessions only)
  • You can signup for the new indoor coached sessions on Thursdays - 8:30 to 9:30pm
