This squad is largely formed from our existing U14 National League group progressing into U16.
A limited number of external players may still be considered through trial sessions.

Fastbreak Basketball provides opportunities for players to progress from school and community basketball through development teams and into National League competition. Our National League teams sit at the top of our structured development pathway.
Our community sessions take place in Cambourne, Northstowe and St Neots and are open to players of all abilities.
These sessions focus on:
learning fundamental basketball skills
building confidence and enjoyment of the game
introducing players to team play
Many players begin their basketball journey in these sessions before progressing further within the club.
Players who show commitment and development may progress to our club teams competing in the Fastbreak League and other local competitions.
These teams provide:
more structured training
regular competitive games
opportunities to develop teamwork and game understanding
Players develop at different speeds, and we believe that progression should always remain open.
Players who show strong improvement, dedication and positive attitude may be invited to join development or National League training sessionsduring the season.

The Fastbreak National League programme represents the highest level of competition within the club and is designed for players who demonstrate strong commitment and a desire to develop at a higher level.
Players selected for National League teams compete in the Basketball England National League, facing strong opposition from clubs across the region.
National League players are expected to demonstrate:
strong commitment to training
good teamwork and attitude
a desire to improve and compete at a higher level
For the 2026/27 season, Fastbreak Basketball will enter the following teams:
U14 Boys – Cambridge Kestrels
U16 Boys – Cambridge Kestrels
U16 Boys – Cambourne Falcons (subject to enough interest)
U18 Boys – Cambourne Falcons
Pre-Season Training Sessions
Monday – 6:00pm to 7:30pm - Cambourne Village College (CVC)
Thursday – 6:00pm to 7:30pm - Cambourne Village College (CVC)
Saturday – 12:00pm to 1:30pm - Northstowe Secondary College (NSC)
The club will run a few trial sessions in June or July to select the team.

The U18 National League programme will pause during the Summer Term due to the examination period. Those players who are keen to stay fit and play some basketball are invited to attend Northstowe Sessions on Thursday with Coach Leon between 8 to 9pm.
The club will run a few trial sessions in June or July to select the team.
