We are getting ready for the Under 18 National League Season which will start in October 2023.
Last year was our first outing into the National League and we are pleased with a score of six wins out of 22 games. We were the smallest (height) team in the league, but played with determination and passion. Five of our 15 players were younger, so it is very likely that we were also the youngest team in the competition.
To get these wins we worked very hard, practising three times a week with a high pace and intensity.
We are ready for the U18 challenge. Some of our younger players are staying in the U16 team. Hence the call for new players!
If you are passionate about basketball, think that you have skills or athletic ability to bring to our team, and you will be in years 12 or 13 at school (or the equivalent) in 23/24 then please get in touch.
If you don’t have a team or are already on one of the local teams, but maybe don’t get the court time and opportunities for development that you're looking for, please get in touch.
Rather than holding one single trial session, we invite candidates to come to a training session. There's less stress and more basketball that way.
Please answer the questions in the new player application form. Coach Neb will reply within a day or two.
We will be practicing on the following dates until 9 July. Further dates are TBD:
Saturdays 1 to 2:30pm Cambourne Village College, Cambourne
We hope that this weekend training schedule will be less disruptive to our Year 11s who have exams during this period.
If necessary, we will add one or two outdoor sessions.
